, based on one worn by Marie Josephine of Savoy. I left off the train, and gave her a softer 1780s English hairstyle, like what you'd see from a Gainsborough portrait, since that seemed more suitable to her character, and closer in feel to my previous 1780s Belle piece. [link]
It was a bit of a challenge coming up with a dress that was similar in feeling to the design in the original Beauty and the Beast
, but I'm pleased with what I came up with. I know that ball gown was supposed to be gold, but it looks banana yellow. I prefer this style to what she wore in the film, but hey I've always been a big 18th century fan, if you couldn't tell...
