Description
Another French revolutionary couple! It's not too well known, but Robespierre's little brother Augustin-- who was not only a good friend of the future emperor Napoleon-- had a taste for high adventure and dangerous (usually married) women. Here he is, wooing an Italian courtesan, Velia Usimbardi. (Velia is fictitious, but based on a real person.) Also an art trade with TheBrassGlass.
Augustin doesn't show up in The Captive Heiress, but he's there in spirit, shall we say.

Good to see dear Bonbon! it always amuses me that Charlotte claims he was the more handsome of her brothers, when what she means is that he looks more like her, with the same long nose, rather than Max's adorably pert retroussé nose. (They are a very good-looking family, though!)
