Oh,you're welcome!
I really like this idea, having historical figures with respective sayings on t-shirts.Bringing the past into fashion again.. :D
Are you thinking of making more,or is it just M.Antoinette?
Well,hope it works out anyway,the t-shirt thing i mean. :)

Thank you!

I'd like to do a design for Queen Liz I and Julius Caesar. I shall be sure to come up with appropriately cheesy comments for both of them, and when the time is right I'll have a store up on Zazzle. :D

Not to be disrespectful by any means, but it can be insulting to an artist to be told their work should look more like another's. I am a friend of both Wisdoms-Pearl and Suburbanbeatnik, and both have their own unique style. I wouldn't want to take that away from either of them.

You can simply say you wouldn't buy the t-shirt, since it's not your style!

I'm not disrespectful, I'm just givin an exaple of simplify work, and I've say that the work is nice and I plenty like the idea, of course I would buy the t-shirt, and Suburbanbeatnik asks for opinion in author comments, so that was my idea for help.

Is a nice idea, but in my opinion is better a more simplified desing and more related to the queen, is a nice job but I don't know that's my opinion, maybe some image a bit more rococo and ironic. nice work!

ha ha, I looooove it!! I'd clean up some of the line work in her hair & the decorations in her hair, but if you polished it up, I'd so wear that!

Wow, Lora- thanks!

Thanks for the advice too. I pumped up the black a lot in the color selection to make the linework pop- and I think that made the lines really smudgy. I think I'll go back into the art, clean up the lines, scan it in really high res, work on it in PS some, then scan it into AI and finish off the file. There's so much technical widgety things I have to figure out before I can start selling them... But it'll be worth it in the end, I think! :D

Yeah, taking it into AI might help. But on the other side, you have this beautiful, organic line work all around her face that you'd lose in illustrator. It comes from the pen, which your brushstrokes/handworked elements of your art is really your strength. So I might not take it into AI and get a really polished line. But I'd check the balance of the linework--so delicate and almost non-existent around the face, then blocky and awkward up in parts of her hair. Maybe I'd just take it into Photoshop and taper off some of those lines... like the boob line, taper that off so it's not all blunt where it starts, but you'll maintain that hand drawn look that makes the piece.

Thanks again! I really appreciate the advice. That sounds like that is just what I need to do.

Have you ever had any experience making t-shirts? I was talking about this with Savivi. I'm thinking Zazzle is probably the way to go, but I need to see what sort of files they need. I'm hoping I can get away with a super high res PS file...

I've never done tee shirts but I'm betting that they just need a JPEG or a TIFF. My friend Chris Oately has a Zazzle store, so if you have questions, you could ask him: *ChrisOatley He's super nice.

He designed the tee shirt that Bea is wearing in issue #6 of The Dreamer, and he's selling it in his Zazzle Store! :D

What a cute and awesome design! On a t-shirt I think it would have to be a bit funkier and artsy, like the same colours but simpler lines and swirly, crazy hair. However, I'd probably buy a t-shirt with this design anyway, if I was a girl.
Nice work!

Hmmm, I dunno if funky swirling hair would really work with an MA theme. Maybe something that was psychedelic or neo-medieval... and I don't know how cartoony I can make my style...

But I'd love to see YOU do something like that! :)

Really? Isn't that what she was all about? I don't mean big 80s stuff I mean a ridiculous 70s tower of a pouf kinda thing. Psychodelic MA would be pretty cool. What's neo-medieval art like??

Hmm... that's quite an idea. :D

I'm not really sure what you mean, but I've never seen any pic of MA with funky swirling hair. But if you want to do one, go ahead! ;P

'Neo-medieval'... I dunno, something like a Led Zeppelin album cover, I'm guessing...
