A bit of a story behind this: I did this for Libba Bray, who was speaking at the winter SCBWI conference. Since the author is well-known for her Victorian historical fantasies, I thought, what better for her than a drawing of a lady from the late 1880s?
Well, the drawing took on a life of its own, as these things do. It became my latest homage to steampunk, as well as Victorian typography. I ended up showing it to Libba, who really liked it (it turns out she's working on her own steampunk story, a reason to rejoice). But since I wanted to keep it, I didn't give it to her as I had originally planned-- but I did promise that I would upload it and send her a copy. So here it is.
Huzzah!

Hope she liked it! And, yes, a lady traveling by air is never without her goggles. What a horrible idea to leave them at home when a lady goes abroad!
