My friend :iconsusanburghart: was visiting me here in LA a few days ago, and finally updated my poor languishing website!  www.joannerenaud.com &nbs… a few glitches and typos that still need to be ironed out, but let me know what you know think!

Would any of you guys be interested in buying prints in my new Cafepress store?  (You can find it here- www.cafepress.com/joannerenaud - but there's nothing in there right now.)  Is there any art, on here or in my website, that you'd like to see on a print or a poster?

That site is amazing! I love the layout and how you set up the gallery.

Have you ever considered selling work at faires and conventions? Most Renaissance faires and conventions feature artists and they're usually good places to promote your work. I think your historical and fantasy pieces would do really well.

I haven't been to a Ren Faire in ages... it sounds kind of a hassle to set something up with them. But I'll give it some thought...

Anyway, glad you like the site! But do you have any ideas for what prints to sell in the Cafepress store?

Well, your sketches are really amazing, but full color pieces will sell better and you can put them at a higher price. It's hard to say which pieces would be popular. If I had to guess, I'd say pieces like the Little Red Riding Hood painting would do well since they're more fantasy oriented. Fantasy is really popular right now. I also think your Lord of the Rings fanart would do really well too, but I'm not sure about copyright stuff since they're Tolkien's characters. But it all depends on which audience you're targeting. Maybe you should put more of your work on DA to get feedback?

Thanks for your suggestions! However, I don't want to post any of my childen's book professional and recent promotional work to this page, and my LOTR work is something I did back in 2002. I know that occasionally people ask me if "American Rococo" or some such should be submitted as a print... That's what I was thinking of, mainly. Does anyone have any strong feelings about what- if anything- they would personally like to buy as a print?

OMG JOANNE!!! That website is AMAZING!! So professional, classy, and stylish! It really compliments your works. I would love to see some of them on a poster or something, but alas I have no money and no clue how internet transactions work. Keep up the excellent work you've always done!
